Has anyone actually wrapped (direct contact) this product around an exhaust header?
Answer:
This CANNOT be adhered directly to any exhaust piece. This is to be used on electronics, module, sensors, firewall, etc. It will melt and burn if the adhesive side contacts any hot exhaust piping. Good luck!

Can I use this to wrap a leaking muffler?
Answer:
No. Muffler has comes out at pressure. Look at the products website and it well tell you for sure. If it doesn’t say you can’t, it doesn’t mean you can .

Can this be used to cover a hot air heating vent? I want to prevent the hot air from entering into rooms.
Answer:
you could, however the adhesive may be very strong. in all likelihood could not get it off whilst you wanted to. the magnetic covers might be more appropriate, in my view.

How thick is the material?

When peeled and stuck, it is possibly the thickness of say, a normal envelope with one single letter estimate paper collapsed in 3 inside, plus or minus. It isn’t thick yet it appears to carry out the activity and even stuck topsy turvy (for my situation outwardly base of my saddlebag an inch over my fumes pipe) it holds exceptionally decent
